What is DOTA?
Defense of the Ancient(commonly known as DOTA) is a custom scenario for the real-time strategy video game WARCRAFT III: Reign of Chaos and its expansion, WARCRAFT III: The Frozen Throne, based on the "Aeon of Strife" map of STARCRAFT. The objective of the scenario is for each team to destroy the opponents Ancients, heavily guarded structures at opposing corners of the map. Players use powerful units known as heroes, and are assisted by allied heroes and AI-controlled fighters called "CREEPS". As in role-playing games, players level up their heroes and use gold to buy equipment during the mission.
The Scenario was developed with the "WORLD EDIT" of WARCRAFT III: Reign Of Chaos, and was updated upon the release of its expansion, The Frozen Throne. There have been many variations of the original concept; the most popular being DOTA ALLSTARS, which eventually was simplified to DOTA with the release of version 6.68. This specific scenario has been maintained by several author during development, with the current publicly anonymous developer know as "ICEFROG" developing the game since 2005.
Since its original release, DOTA has become a feature at several worldwide tournaments, including Blizzard Entertainment's BlizzCon and the Asian WORLD CYBER GAMES, as well as the Cyberathlete Amateur and CyberEvolution leagues; Gamasutra declated that DOTA was perhaps the most popular "free, non-supported game mod in the world". Valve Corporation is current developing a sequel, DOTA2.

This is my favorite game that i played. I played this game since my Highschool up to present, this game is really interesting because it test your strategy, Logic, and etc. This game enhance my knowledge and concentration with the gameplay of this game. So the gameplay of this game is provides you a heroes to defend your base and destroy your enemy base(LIKE IN THE MOVIE OF TROY).
Dota, is a map in the game Warcraft 3. It was created by players and is arguably the most popular custom map ever made. It combines strategy, skill, teamwork, and a little luck. Dota is relatively fast-paced for a role playing game, as a result, it can be a little difficult for beginners to hang of it. With a little practice and some helpful tips, However, I stop played to this game because iam studying and iam a graduating student. so i will finish first my study before i played this game again. But when the time that i played this game when iam studying Information Technology in St. Paul University Philippines, iam balancing to played the game and to study my coursed. But lastly it was the cool game that i ever played!
